I'm in the middle of probably the worst one day disaster in my life... but stumbled across the newest ASBO Jesus cartoons. I've been following the cartoons for a few weeks, but the one today caused a great smile -- one that was truly needed.
Enjoy!

reasons why not to shop the day before the Super Bowl...
Picture your average Meijers/Super Walmart/Fred Meyers. There's about 30 lanes of check out aisles. At any given time, you've got five to seven self-check out lanes open and maybe four to six actual people lanes.
Today, EVERY lane was open.
Every lane was packed.
Even that huge aisleway was jammed with people.
There were people all the way back in the clothes section waiting in line.
There were employees helping people scan at the self-check out lanes to go faster. "You go bag" they said. It was crazy. I waited longer in line than it took me to do all my shopping. This is why I don't go shopping on Saturdays. It was busier than I've ever seen it at Christmas/Thanksgiving time.
This was also one of my first days out after all the pneumonia where I haven't collapsed into a nap right afterwards. I'm still pretty tired, but think I can make it a little later into the evening. That's extreme progress. I'm still very tired, but it's nothing like a week ago.
